NTT Com and Ixia trial 100Gbps network in Japan

Ixia, a global provider of IP performance test systems, has announced that its K2 100Gbps layer 2-7 network test solution has been used to validate a next generation ultra high speed network set up by NTT Communications between Makuhari (Chiba) and Otemachi (Tokyo). In a press release Ixia said its K2 40 GE and 100 GE modules are the first-to-market test solutions that allow network equipment manufacturers to test higher speed Ethernet (HSE) standard-compliant devices at line rate. NTT Com conducted a public demonstration to showcase its next generation ultra high speed network technology.
