WiMAX a GO go

Maltese quadruple-play telecoms operator GO has announced the launch of wireless broadband internet access over a WiMAX network, reports The Malta Independent. GO’s chief of operations Norbert Prihoda said: ‘GO is proud of being the market leader for the provision of a total communications solution to its customers. The launch of WiMAX proves that we are truly committed to satisfying the modern-day telecom needs of our customers.’ GO aims to provide voice and data services over a 3.5GHz mobile-ready WiMAX system based on Alvarion-supplied equipment.
