Etisalat, Huawei seal fresh collaboration deals

Chinese telecoms solutions provider Huawei has announced it is partnering with UAE-based telecoms operator Etisalat to establish an Application Innovation Center (AIC) to develop customised solutions and applications. The pair also signed an agreement for further collaboration and enhancement of Etisalat’s service offerings to its customers. Under the deal, as a strategic partner, Huawei will continue to support Etisalat’s global expansion in the future. ‘The AIC in Abu Dhabi and the new agreement will further strengthen our valued relationship with Huawei,’ said Mohammad Hassan Omran, chairman of Etisalat. Without disclosing information about planned network contracts or financing packages, he added: ‘With our ongoing strategic partnership, we will be able to provide more advanced and differentiated service offerings to subscribers across our geographical reach.’
