UAE telecoms operator Du has announced the launch of broadband speeds of up to 24Mbps download, claiming it to be the fastest speed achievable in the country and the Middle East as a whole. The operator has stated that customers subscribed to its broadband services offering theoretical speeds of 4Mbps, 8Mbps and 12Mbps will see their speeds doubled, free of charge. ‘We pride ourselves in product and service innovation and our latest launch is a result of our continuous efforts to bring the very best available in broadband internet,’ said Farid Faraidooni, EVP of Du, adding: ‘In an increasingly digitally convergent world, availability of high internet bandwidth is a primary need and with our new broadband packages we are offering more choice, greater value and an unmatched user experience for our home services customers.’ The new broadband package will enable the company to meet high bandwidth requirements for services including online gaming, audio and video streaming and high volume data downloads.
