Telefonica, DirecTV launch triple-play in Mendoza

Argentine fixed line operator Telefonica de Argentina and US satellite TV provider DirecTV have launched triple-play services in Mendoza province, writes BNamericas, citing local newspaper La Nacion. The pair’s TRIO package offers basic telephony, high speed internet and satellite TV services and includes unlimited local calls, broadband download speeds of up to 3Mbps and digital TV. As reported by CommsUpdate on 23 April, Telefonica de Argentina and DirecTV first introduced triple-play in Bariloche in the province of Rio Negro, with plans to expand the service to all areas where the pair have a presence in the near future.
