Jazztel expands coverage of its Annex M service

9 Jun 2009

Spanish fixed line and broadband operator Jazz Telecom (Jazztel) has extended the regions where it is offering ADSL2+ Annex M services, offering upload speeds of up to 2.5Mbps, Cinco Dias reports. The operator announced it was trialling the service in February this year with a small group of customers and subsequently expanded the trials to the Zaragoza province in May 2009; Jazztel expects to extend the service nationwide by mid-July. From tomorrow, however, the service will be free to those subscribers already taking the operator’s 20Mbps broadband service and will be available in 18 provinces; Zaragoza, Albacete, Avila, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Alava, Caceres, Ciudad Real, Burgos, La Rioja, Almería, La Coruña, Badajoz, Leon, Lugo, Orense, Alicante and Guipuzcoa.
