France Telecom has submitted a bid for the Tunisian fixed and mobile licence, according to the country’s Ministry of Technology and Communication. The French telco is reported to have submitted a joint bid with Divona Telecom. As reported last week, Turkcell has also thrown its hat into the ring for the new concession. The 15-year licence is due to be awarded at the end of June, with services expected to start in January 2010.
