German cable network operator PrimaCom has posted its fiscal results for the three months ended 31 March 2009, reporting a slight year-on-year fall in total revenue to EUR26.45 million. The company attributed this decrease to the sale of its networks in Wiesbaden and Aachen to Unitymedia in August last year, a sale it made in order to concentrate on its key regions in middle and eastern Germany. Meanwhile, the company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) reached EUR8.69 million in 1Q 2009, down from EUR12.46 million in the same period a year earlier. Without releasing detailed subscriber figures, the company reported that it is able to offer its triple-play package to 438,829 households, and the number of revenue generating units (RGUs) totalled 866,614.
