Indonesia’s biggest telecoms group PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) is considering plans to seek a strategic investor for its CDMA fixed-wireless service Flexi, Dow Jones Newswires reports. The Indonesian operator has hinted it is looking to South Korea and China for potential partners. ‘We need to strengthen our domestic market share, so we’re considering trying to find a strategic partner,’ Telkom’s vice president for investor relations Heri Supriyadi said. The telco is looking to develop a service which now numbers around 13 million subscribers and accounts for a 50% share of the domestic local access market.
