T-HT's profits up 6.4%

Croatian incumbent telco T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), part of the Deutsche Telekom group, has posted a 6.4% year-on-year rise in consolidated first-quarter net profit to HRK583 million (USD105 million), on revenues that rose by 1.7% to HRK2.1 billion, largely driven by increases in internet and mobile revenues. EBITDA climbed by 2.5% y-o-y to HRK950 million for the three months ended 31 March 2009, although the EBITDA margin stayed flat at 45.9%. T-HT’s celllular arm T-Mobile Croatia’s turnover rose by 6.6% to HRK990 million, while internet business generated sales of HRK272 million, up by 29.3% compared to the same period of 2008.
