Sistema Shyam to complete pan-India rollout by Q3 2010

According to India’s Economic Times, Sistema Shyam Teleservices (SSTL) aims to complete its pan-India rollout by the third quarter of 2010, citing comments by the operator’s chief executive. The cellco is planning to launch in two to three circles per quarter to meet its target date, and at present has coverage in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Kerala; commercial services will launch in Calcutta next month, followed by West Bengal by mid-June and Bihar by July. Additionally SSTL has said it hopes to double its customer base from around five million to ten million within the next three months.
