Yoigo opens mobile internet service to pre-paid users

Spanish 3G mobile operator Xfera Moviles (Yoigo), a subsidiary of Sweden’s TeliaSonera, has announced that it is opening its mobile internet service to pre-paid subscribers. In a press release the operator said it would offer a service costing EUR3 (USD3.89) per day, providing up to 100MB of downloads at speeds of up to 3.2Mbps; those customers exceeding the daily usage allowance will remain connected, but at the slower speed of 64kbps. The service is subject to a minimum spend of EUR6 per month and will launch commercially on 6 May.
