Telefonica de Argentina has announced it has signed an agreement with US satellite TV provider DirecTV to launch a triple-play package named TRIO. The new service will offer basic telephony, broadband and satellite TV services in Bariloche in the province of Rio Negro to begin with, but the companies hope to expand the service to all areas where they have a presence in the near future. The duo have priced the package at ARS209 (USD56.62) for the first six months and ARS250.90 thereafter, which includes unlimited local calls, a broadband connection with download speeds of up to 3Mbps and digital TV.
