Ericsson to expand Telenor Sweden’s IMS network

Telenor Sweden has contracted Ericsson to supply its IMS-based Business Communication Suite (BCS), and expand, upgrade and integrate the Norwegian-owned operator’s existing IMS network. The BCS enables mobile, unified communication for business users and increases efficiency with networking tools such as presence, messaging, chat, video, incoming call management, file sharing and corporate directory. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The delivery and integration phase of the BCS and the extended IMS-based network is already under way.
