The Japanese operating division of leading computer manufacturer Dell plans to launch a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) business in the country, by bundling its notebook PCs with built-in HSPA cards. The equipment maker has secured an MVNO licence from the MIC and will use NTT DoCoMo as its host network. The new Dell laptops will be available from the summer priced from USD500. It is understood that Dell intends to include a fixed bundle of broadband access with the PC, after which the user will be able to pay for ongoing access via a credit card.
