Ireland’s telecoms regulator ComReg plans to release additional spectrum for Fixed Wireless Access Local Area (FWALA) licensing in the 3.6GHz-3.8GHz band, as well as releasing Channels ‘E’ and ‘J’ in the 3.5GHz band, ElectricNewsNet reports. In total, 128MHz of spectrum is being made available to operators, increasing the amount of spectrum available for FWALA broadband by almost 70%, according to ComReg.
