Telekom Malaysia inks deal with Alcatel-Lucent

Telekom Malaysia™ has signed a deal with Alcatel-Lucent for the expansion of the telco’s 10Gb Ethernet network in the central and northern regions of Peninsular Malaysia. Alcatel-Lucent’s solution will enable TM to offer Virtual Leased Line (VLL) and Virtual Private LAN services (VPLS) to its business customers. This next generation network (NGN) will also form the platform for aggregating TM’s (NGN) access gateways and IP DSLAM for future services, including triple-play. The deal is valued at EUR7 million.
