Noverca seals MVNO deal with Telecom Italia

Mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Noverca has signed an agreement with Telecom Italia, Italy’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, to use its network to offer mobile services, internet access and value added services. Telecom Italia will supply Noverca with SIM cards, data access to its GSM/GPRS and UMTS/HSDPA networks, dedicated numbers, as well as other telephony services. Noverca, an Acotel subsidiary, specialises in the provision of value added and IP services and will launch commercial services later this year. Telecom Italia Mobile reported a total of 35.2 million mobile subscribers at the end of September 2008.
