MYR3 billion to be spent on telecoms in next two years by Khazanah

Malaysian news source The Star is reporting that the government will increase the investment funds of Khazanah Nasional by MYR10 billion (USD2.71 billion) as part of a larger MYR60 billion economic stimulus package announced by the state. Approximately MYR3 billion of the new funds are expected to be invested by Khazanah, which holds a 41% stake in Telekom Malaysia, over a two-year period.
