Internode launches ‘Extreme’ SHDSL

Australian broadband provider Internode has launched its ‘Extreme’ symmetric high speed digital subscriber line (SHDSL) services in Adelaide, targeting medium size business, online news portal ARN.net reports. The new service offers uplink and downlink speeds of between 5Mbps and 40Mbps; the price for a 5Mbps service with a 25GB download limit is AUD700 (USD450) per month, while a 40Mbps connection with unlimited usage will cost AUD4000 per month. Internode has said it plans to roll out the service to business districts in other cities, with Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane expected to be the next to receive the increased speeds.
