STC: Crisis? What crisis?

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) says the current global economic crisis is opening up opportunities for investments across the Middle East and Asia. ‘The international financial crisis is an opportunity to get acquisitions and licences,’ Saud al-Duweish, chief executive of STC, told Reuters. ‘Our priority is the Gulf, the Middle East and Southeast Asia,’ he added. STC also says it expects to customer numbers to continue growing in its domestic market, with cellular penetration set to pass 140% in the next two years.
