Taiwanese cellular operator Far EasTone (FET) says it had the highest proportion of mobile data revenues of any of the country’s wireless operators in 2008. According to a report from DigiTimes, FET is claiming that non-voice services accounted for TWD7.18 billion (USD218 million) or 12.5% of its total revenues last year. Its main rivals, Chunghwa Telecom and Taiwan Mobile, both saw 9.6% of their total revenues from non-voice services in 2008, FET indicated. FET claimed 2.78 million 3G subscribers, 2.03 million 2G subscribers and 1.44 million users of its pre-paid cards as of the end of 2008.
