iBurst WiMAX price cuts

13 Feb 2009

iBurst has reduced the prices of its WiMAX offerings, effective this month. The operator offers packages: broadband, assured premium (uncontended) and assured standard (low contention). All existing and prospective subscribers will benefit from the reduced pricing. In addition, new subscribers signing up for any 24 month iBurst WiMAX package between February and April will not have to pay installation fees.

The price for a 512Kbps WiMAX service with 5GB shaped bandwidth is now ZAR690 (USD69.26) per month, down from ZAR855 per month. For the same service with 10GB shaped bandwidth it is ZAR970, down from ZAR1199 per month. A 1Mbps service with 5GB of bandwidth is reduced from ZAR995 to ZAR760 per month while the 10GB option will now cost ZAR1040 instead of ZAR1335. Similar price cuts were made for iBurst’s WiMAX Broadband service with unshaped bandwidth and iBurst WiMAX Assured service offerings.
