MTS Allstream results ‘solid’

Canadian full-service telco Manitoba Telecoms Services (MTS Allstream) has posted a 1% rise in EBITDA for 2008 of CAD661.8 million (USD542.9 million) on revenues that grew by 0.8% to CAD1.92 billion. Revenues from growth services (excluding traditional PSTN telephony) were up 11.3% at CAD845.4 billion, as consumer high speed internet customers reached 176,637 at end-December, up from 166,171 a year earlier, and cellular subscribers rose to 434,776 from 394,463 twelve months before. Long-distance call minutes reached 10.13 billion in 2008, up from 10.04 billion in 2007.
