Telekom Slovenije to fight local loop ‘abuse’ claims

6 Feb 2009

Telekom Slovenije has received an assessment from the Slovenian Competition Protection Office which concludes that ‘it is possible’ that the incumbent telco has abused its dominant market position in the wholesale markets for unbundled access to the local loop and sub-loop for the purposes of providing broadband and voice services. The assessment was based on information submitted by rival fixed line and broadband operator Amis as well as data gathered by the competition agency itself. Telekom Slovenije says it intends to prove that the allegations are groundless.
