CamTel reduces subscription fee by 25%

State-owned Cameroon Telecommunications (CamTel), the country’s monopoly wireline service provider, has cut its wireline subscription fee by 25%. General Manager of CamTel, David Nkoto Emane, said residential customers will now pay CFA35,775 (USD71.4) in ten monthly installments instead of the current fee of CFA47,700, while business customers will see their fee reduced from CFA119,250 to CFA89,440.
