BNI named as lead advisor for Telkom’s USD3bn loan

Antara News carries a story that PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) is dealing with a syndicated credit facility of IDR3 trillion (USD3 billion) for state-owned incumbent PT Telkom. It is understood the government-controlled bank has been named as the lead arranger for the loan which also involves Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and a number of other local banks. Telkom plans to use the money to help fund its capital expenditure programme for 2009 which is currently set at IDR22 trillion.
