Telenet announces fixed line tariff increase

7 Jan 2009

Reuters is reporting that, in a bid to increase revenues for this financial year, Belgian cableco Telenet has announced that it will raise the prices of its fixed line services by 5% in February 2009. The operator has noted that it does not believe the increase will affect its market share, as it expects market leader Belgacom to announce similar tariff rises. Telenet has also revealed it will increase prices for its digital and analogue TV services by EUR0.60 (USD0.81) and EUR0.65 per month respectively.
