Claro rolls out 3G services to Ponta Grossa, Parana state

Brazilian mobile operator Telecoms Americas (Claro), a unit of Mexico’s America Movil, has expanded its 3G operations to Ponta Grossa, in Parana state, writes BNamericas citing a statement from the company. The operator currently has 3G services in 14 cities in Parana state: Apucarana, Arapongas, Araucaria, Campo Largo, Cascavel, Colombo, Curitiba, Londrina, Maringa, Paranagua, Pinhais, Ponta Grossa, Sao Jose dos Pinhais and Toledo. In total, its UMTS networks are available in 250 cities in 22 Brazilian states and the Distrito Federal, reaching some 89 million potential users.
