Woosh seeks NZD160m investment

According to the New Zealand press broadband wireless provider Woosh Wireless is still seeking NZD160 million (USD65.4 million) in investment to allow it to upgrade its network to WiMAX technology. According to the reports, Woosh has been trying to secure an angel investor since July and hoped to have funding in place this year. Woosh founder and chairman Rod Inglis declined to comment. ‘Our thing now is to keep our heads down and comment when we are providing services to customers.’ Woosh’s main shareholders are Kuwait Finance House and California-based Clarity Partners.
