Craig Wireless refutes Lannet’s WiMAX claim

5 Dec 2008

Canadian-owned WiMAX operator Craig Wireless says it has received correspondence from Greek altnet Lannet Communications advising of Lannet’s intention to claim damages relating to alleged breaches of a wholesale agreement between the Canadian firm’s Greek unit Craig Wireless Hellas and Lannet. Craig Wireless says it believes that the potential claim by Lannet is unfounded and without merit, and it intends to vigorously contest and defend any claim brought against it. Its statement continued that, ‘in spite of Lannet’s filing for bankruptcy protection and suspension from trading on the Athens Stock Exchange, Craig Wireless Hellas has continued to work diligently and in good faith to support Lannet by completing the operational WiMAX network that it agreed to build under the amended wholesale agreement.’
