Colombian cellco Movistar has launched 3G services writes BNamericas, citing a company statement. The operator’s W-CDMA-based network has coverage of the capital Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Bucaramanga and Cucuta; it expects to gradually expand its reach to other cities across the country during 2009.
Among the services available over the new network are video-calling and mobile broadband.
