FRiENDi mobile revealed in a press conference yesterday that it plans to launch services as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Oman shortly. No further details were announced. The company received preliminary approval for an MVNO licence in January 2008 and was handed the concession in June. It recently signed an agreement with Oman Mobile to provide services over the cellco’s network.
