Interconnection rates to stay as they are?

28 Nov 2008

German regulator the Bundesnetzagentur plans to maintain the current level of interconnection charges for the upcoming year, and also abolish additional fees rivals charge Deutsche Telekom (DT) for using their own networks, Reuters reports citing local daily Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. If the watchdog’s plan is successful 2009 would be the first year for a decade that interconnection fees have not been reduced. Finalised rates are expected to be announced later today.
