Bouygues selects StreamWIDE for convergent messaging solution

18 Nov 2008

French alternative operator Bouygues Telecom has picked StreamWIDE, a specialist in developing next generation value added telephony solutions for telecom carriers, to assist with its rollout of a multiple-play ‘BBox’ ADSL offer, which was introduced on 20 October 2008. The telco hopes the flexibility of StreamWIDE’s solution will give it a competitive advantage in a crowded market by relying on fixed-mobile convergent messaging services designed to match its users’ requirements. This includes free voicemail checking from the BBox line or from a Bouygues Telecom mobile phone via a single short number; visual web interface for voicemail checking and service settings; plus immediate email and SMS notifications of new messages.
