Sales up at Turk Telekom

Turkey’s dominant fixed line operator, Turk Telekom, has reported a 10.4% rise in revenues for the nine months to the end of September, from TRY6.9 billion (USD5.1 billion) to TRY7.6 billion, though net profit dropped 6% year-on-year to TRY1.68 billion. The company attributed the decrease in profits to a rise in investment costs, which were up 65.6%. Operating profit climbed 14.8% to TRY2.19 billion.
