Dialog and Polkomtel report 3Q results

Polish fixed line telco Telefonia Dialog has reported a third quarter revenue of PLN136.58 million (USD46.92 million) compared to PLN121.74 million in the same period of 2007. Operating loss for the three months ended 30 September 2008 climbed to PLN6.86 million from a loss of PLN1.07 million in the period a year earlier. EBITDA fell from PLN27.45 million to PLN21.42 million while net losses rose to PLN9.42 million. At the end of September Dialog claimed 391,000 fixed line customers and 129,000 internet users, including 7,500 bitstream customers. Meanwhile wireless sister company Polkomtel reported an increase of sales from PLN2.003 billion to PLN2.171 billion while net profit climbed 6.5% to PLN385.38 million.
