The Romanian cable operator RCS&RDS has announced that its 3G wireless subsidiary Digi.Mobil has attracted 1.2 million subscribers since its launch a year ago. The Digi.Mobil UMTS network now has coverage of 400 communities, covering around 50% of the population. RCS&RDS is one of four 3G licensees in Romania, with the others being Orange, Vodafone and Zapp/Telemobil.
