US-based computer manufacturer Dell has announced separate partnerships with Singaporean cellcos StarHub and MobileOne Asia (M1) under which it hopes to deliver always-on, nationwide mobile broadband connectivity in the city-state. Under the deals, new mobile broadband subscribers will be able to purchase a Dell Inspiron Mini 9, pre-installed with mobile broadband connectivity software. In a press release, Dell said the move would eliminate the need for an USB modem (dongle) to connect to the operator’s mobile broadband network.
