Axtel announces 3Q results; revenues slip marginally

Mexican fixed line and broadband operator Axtel has revealed a 7% drop in total revenues to MXN2.86 billion (USD214 million) for the three months ended 30 September, noting however that revenues for the twelve months to the same date had increased 2% to MXN11.6 billion. Local services contributed 47% of total revenues during the quarter, compared with 43% the previous year, despite a fall in the number of local calls and increased penetration of commercial offers including free local calling.
