NHH puts forward case for symmetric mobile termination rates

Hungary’s telecoms regulator the National Communications Authority (NHH) has published its draft resolution on determining mobile voice termination call rates for the period to 2011. Telecompaper reports the NHH is proposing to set mobile voice termination fees at: HUF19.75 (USD0.09) per minute until the end of 2008 for T-Mobile Hungary; HUF20.29 per minute for Pannon; and at HUF20.99 per minute for Vodafone Hungary. In addition, the watchdog is proposing that mobile voice termination fees be set at HUF16.84 per minute for all three operators from January 2009, HUF14.13 per minute from January 2010, and HUF11.86 per minute from January 2011. The NHH is expected to publish its final decision by the end of this year.
