Wataniya reports 64% jump in 3Q profits

Kuwaiti cellular operator Wataniya has reported turnover of USD1.33 billion for the nine months to the end of September. Owner Qatar Telecommunications (Qtel) did not give a comparative figure for 2007. Net profit for the third quarter rose 64% to USD95.6 million.
