Tele2 Sweden has extended a contract to provide a range of broadband communications services to the city of Malmo for three years. Services provided include linking 400 businesses with next generation high speed networks, and the new agreement includes the upgrading of access speeds and network capacity. ‘Tele2 identifies opportunities that exist within the municipality and helps us develop our communications. It was therefore an easy decision to extend the contract,’ said Ulf Linderoth, project manager at the City Office’s IT department. The original contract was part of a 2004 framework to provide high speed network facilities for a total of 27 municipalities.
