T-Mobile USA is expecting to sell between 400,000 and 500,000 of its new G1 phones in the fourth quarter of this year, CENS reports. The cellco is looking at ordering up to two million of the new handsets, which use Google’s Android operating system, from Taiwanese handset maker HTC. The G1 phone, which features a touch screen and has been likened to Apple’s iPhone, will be launched by T-Mobile USA later this month, with the device retailing at USD179.
