Andinatel continues rural expansion

Ecuadorian state-owned telco Andinatel, soon to be merged with its sister operator Pacifictel, expects to deploy more than 2,500 fixed lines in rural areas of the Cotopaxi province this month, reports BNamericas. In the first nine months of the year, Andinatel deployed 38,000 lines in the13 north-central provinces where it operates.
