UKE tells cellcos to cut MTR from January

Polish telecoms regulator the Electronic Communication Office (UKE) has issued a long-awaited decision on the reduction of mobile termination rates (MTR). As of January 2009 Polkomtel and Orange Poland (PTK Centertel) will be required to lower MTR rates to PLN0.22 (USD0.09) per minute and PLN0.17 by 1 February 2009. A similar decision will concern PTC, but due to unspecified reasons it has not yet been issued by UKE.
