Mexican telecoms group America Movil says its Brazilian mobile unit Telecom Americas (Claro) has expanded service coverage to the states of Amapa and Roraima. The addition of the two states completes the jigsaw in the cellco’s national footprint, although initially the service will only be available in the state capitals. Claro has also announced the extension of its 3G services to Sergipe state, in the capital Aracaju and the city Nossa Senhora do Socorro. BNamericas reports that the operator’s mobile services are present in the country’s 26 states and the Distrito Federal. The 3G network is available to 67 million people in 140 municipalities in 20 states.
