UK quadruple play operator Virgin Media has announced the launch of mobile broadband services, making it the most recent entrant to the burgeoning market. Services will be offered on an 18-month contract at GBP15 (USD26.98) per month, allowing 3GB of downloads per month at speeds of up to 3.6Mbps; excess usage will be charged at GBP15 per 1GB. Virgin Media operates as an MVNO on T-Mobile’s infrastructure, and the company claims that its mobile broadband service will cover 85% of the UK.
