25 Sep 2008

Vodafone Spain will launch ADSL services for residential customers on 8 October, as the operator continues to push the integration of its mobile and fixed line services. Vodafone will offer multiple packages that combine fixed line high speed internet access at speeds at 6Mbps and 12Mbps with mobile and fixed line voice services, as well as mobile broadband services; package costs will start at EUR29.90 (USD43.88) per month. The move comes following the acquisition of Tele2’s Italian and Spanish assets which was completed in December 2007, and Antonio Garcia-Urgel, one of Vodafone Spain’s directors, said, ‘The acquisition of Tele2 was a strategic step for Vodafone. We have managed to harness all their experience and combine it with our ADSL products and mobility services for Vodafone to launch ADSL, a complete package to our clients will cover all their needs for communication, information and entertainment from the moment they hire service.’
