Telekom Slovenije wants 25% of profits abroad by 2010

Bojan Dremelj, the CEO of former monopoly telco Telekom Slovenije, told reporters yesterday that the company aims to earn a quarter of its total group profits in foreign markets by 2010. He said that 5% of consolidated pre-tax profit is currently generated abroad, and 10% of total revenues. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms database, Telekom’s foreign subsidiaries include On.Net (Macedonia [FYROM]), IPKO (Kosovo, Serbia), Gibtelecom (Gibraltar), Netkom, Aneks and Blic (all Republika Srpska [Bosnia & Herzegovina]), H-Communications and AOL SP (both Albania).
